Only Australian or New Zealand phone numbers can be used to set up multi-factor authentication (MFA). International users creating a new grants portal account must use the authenticator app option for MFA. International users with an existing account can continue using their current international phone number for MFA if preferred.

The grants portal allows you to apply for Australian Government grants and services in a secure online environment. You can also use the portal to manage any requirements around a grant you may receive. These requirements may include:

regular reporting on your progress

providing evidence of your progress or costs

reviewing a record of payments

varying your agreement if necessary.
